Christina Cary Portrait

This is me.

Hello. I’m Christina Cary.

I’m a musician living in England who likes to sing, play piano (and guitar and ukulele and trumpet and melodica), mess about with music technology, and has an interest in live-looping and recording. I currently reside in Kent and I quite like it here. I moved to England from a little town in Texas. NO, you probably haven’t heard of it. I’ve been here for more than twelve years and don’t have a British accent …yet.

I am heavily influenced by Artists like Andrew Bird and Imogen Heap, but I have very eclectic musical taste. I like folk, country, hip-hop, indie, rock… Basically anything if it does something interesting, musically/lyrically. I love Andrew Bird, Tori Amos, Feist, Radiohead, Fiona Apple, Nirvana, Fleet Foxes, The Dixie Chicks, Ben Christophers, The Youngblood Brass Band, The Smiths, etc.

My music is lyric-driven and original, which stems from the poetry I write. I’m currently in a crossroads, trying to work out what I want to do next. This website is to mainly to document my music and poetry.
